It was very great and it was a very packed weekend! We enjoyed it very much, and we would like to thank Hostal de la Luz and Diana Sanchez of Hostal de la Luz, who arranged everything for us. We had the following treats and treatments when we visited: It was very clean, very bright, and it just felt like we were at peace when we were here. The ambiance in the resort was very calming, and we liked it very much. This was a statue that was displayed outside of our room. These doors were pretty cool too, and it leads up to our private balcony. For someone who shares a bunk bed with two other people, we were very satisfied with sleeping on our own beds!ĭante wanted a photograph of himself on the bed, so here it is. Shauna and I each had a very comfortable bed for ourselves. It comes with a hammock, a table, a set of chairs, sunshine, and a view of these majestic Tepoztlan mountains. Obviously, Dante wanted one of himself too! Of course, I had to take some portraits with my darling boy, Dante.Īlso, a solo portrait of myself that I begged and annoyed Shauna into taking for me. Obviously, we had to take photographs because us enjoying such a nice hotel room to ourselves was very rare occurrence when you are backpacking. I took my roommate, Shauna, since they said that I could bring an extra guest. We have never been to one, so it was extra exciting! You can have your meals right here, overlooking the mountains!Īs soon as we walked into the place, we knew that this was a different kind of resort. We were up for a meals at their restaurant, massages, a hydrochakral therapy, a temazcal, and swimming up until we got tired! It sounds like a dream, doesn’t it? Well, it sure was! It was a bit far from the city, but the journey was so worth it!Īs soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a nice lady who walked us through our schedule for that weekend. We were excited!Īfter eating lunch in the city proper, we took a taxi for about 45 minutes to get to Hostal de la Luz. We knew, right then and there, that we were not in the city anymore. Tepoztlan was about two hours away from Ciudad de Mexico, and we took the bus from the South Bus Station on the very end of the blue line.Īs soon as we arrived in Tepoztlan, we were greeted by these majestic mountains. We came to Tepoztlan by the invitation of Hostal de la Luz, and boy, did we have a wonderful weekend! With the quarantine season making everyone quite bored and restless, I figured it would be great to look back on a magical weekend spent in Tepoztlan.
